Peter
Fitzgerald - Chairman &
Director
Mr. Fitzgerald joined
the PhotoChannel Board
of Directors in August
2001 and became Chairman
of the Board in 2004.
Mr. Fitzgerald took
control as the President
& CEO of PhotoChannel
in March of 2005. Prior
to PNI he was CEO of
Gretag Imaging where
he built the company
into one of the world's
leading manufacturers
of imaging equipment
and systems before leaving
to pursue personal interests.
Previous to Gretag,
Mr. Fitzgerald was CEO
of Qualex, the Kodak
photo-processing subsidiary,
which he led very successfully
for over seven years.
While he was CEO of
Qualex. Mr. Fitzgerald
retained his active
role as Vice President
within Eastman Kodak
where among other titles
he carried the role
of General Manager,
Worldwide Consumer Imaging
Services. Mr. Fitzgerald
has a Masters degree
of Science in Business
Administration at Massachusetts
Institute of Technology,
is a Graduate of the
PMD Program at Harvard
Business School and
is a Fellow of the Charter
Association of Certified
Accountants.
Peter
C. Scarth
- Director
Mr. Scarth joined the
PhotoChannel Board of
Directors in September
2000. In March 2001
he assumed the role
of CEO & President
of the Company. Prior
to PNI, Mr. Scarth served
as Executive Vice President
for Telepix Imaging
Inc., a leading supplier
of Internet imaging
and e-commerce solutions
that enable retailers
to provide innovative
digital photos and e-commerce
solutions to the general
public. Mr. Scarth was
involved with Telepix
since its startup phase
and was instrumental
in the purchase of the
company in 1999. Before
launching Telepix, Mr.
Scarth worked for the
Eastman Kodak Company
for 23 years in both
the US and Canada running
various division of
the company including
as Vice President and
Business Manager, Consumer
Imaging and Vice President
of the Motion Picture
division within Kodak
Canada. Mr. Scarth holds
Chemical Engineering
and Chemistry/Mathematics
degrees from Queen's
University in Kingston,
Ontario.
Thomas
Nielsen - Director
Mr. Nielsen Joined the
PhotoChannel Board of
Directors in June 2005.
Mr. Nielson has a strong
passion for technology
and customer solutions
- specifically in the
areas of digital imaging,
electronic documents
and multimedia - extending
into mobile and wireless
technologies. Mr. Nielsen
has over 15 years experience
leading and managing
cutting edge technology
research & development
in the software industry
and has focused the
last few years bridging
engineering and business
leadership functions.
Currently, Mr. Nielsen
holds the position as
Director of Engineering
for Adobe's Creative
Professional Business
Unit - responsible for
the product development
and delivery of Adobe's
print and web-design
products. Prior to Adobe,
Mr. Nielsen spent almost
six years at Microsoft,
where among many other
duties, he led the Windows
Printing and Imaging
and Windows Digital
Document teams where
he was instrumental
in defining and delivering
the Windows XP Digital
Photography experience,
as well as leading the
printing, scanning,
digital camera, MFP
and Fax strategy and
infrastructure for the
Windows client and server
operating systems. In
addition Mr. Nielsen
also directed Microsoft's
digital imaging and
electronic document
platform strategy for
the Windows operating
system. While at Microsoft,
Mr. Nielsen was also
responsible for the
planning & development
of Microsoft's print
server business. Mr.
Nielsen represented
many of Microsoft's
strategies and technologies
by way of keynote speeches,
industry standards and
conference presentations.
Cory
Kent
- Director
Mr. Kent is the longest
serving PhotoChannel
Board member. Mr. Kent
is a securities lawyer
for the firm of Lang
Michener, located in
Vancouver, BC. His prime
focus is as a member
of the firm’s
Corporate Finance and
Securities Law Group.
Before Lang Michener,
Mr. Kent practiced with
the firm of Anfield,
Sujir, Kennedy and Durno,
specialists in the fields
of corporate finance
and securities law.
Called to the Bar in
British Columbia in
1996, Mr. Kent earned
his LL.B. at the University
of British Columbia
in 1995. He completed
his B.A. at Carleton
University in 1990.
Mr. Kent is currently
enrolled in part-time
LL.M through Osgoode
Hall Law School of York
University and also
is an Officer in the
Canadian Naval Reserve.
Scott Brownstein
- Director
Mr. Brownstein joined the Board of Directors in September 2008. Mr. Brownstein is a well known photo market and digital technology consultant. Mr. Brownstein's clients include large retail and professional photo labs, equipment and consumable manufacturers and software and digital service providers. During his 23 years at Kodak, Mr. Brownstein was responsible for many advanced digital products including dye sublimation printing, "Create-A-Print" consumer operated kiosks and finally the Kodak PhotoCD system. In addition, Mr. Brownstein was also the founder and Chief Technology Officer of FujiFilm e-Systems where he was responsible for the conception and development of advanced digital solutions for the professional and retail markets alike. While at Fuji he was also the creative force behind 4 hour web to retail printing at more than 1000 Ritz camera stores and 1 hour web to retail printing at over 3500 Wal-Mart and Sam's Club locations.
Mr. Brownstein was the founding president of the Digital Imaging Marketing Association, a member of board of trustees for its parent Photo Marketing Association.
Mr. Brownstein holds 18 U.S. patents ranging from innovative film camera systems to dye-sublimation printing to CD-R.
Mr. Brownstein was awarded a BS degree in Physics from the University of Maryland and numerous industry awards and honors, including Germany's Edward Rhein Prize for Technical Achievement, for the creation of the PhotoCD system.
